Old Floresta was started as a plien-air painting with the Palm Beach Plien-Air group in Boca Raton in a neighborhood of the same name. I went home afterward and kept painting until I was pleased with the results. At home, I tweaked the painting into a kind of circuit board.
When showing plein-air you are not supposed to do any work on the piece after the session is over. I liken this piece to when Bob Dylan went to the Newport Jazz Festival with his electric guitar.
