There is a book by Charles Butler. It was made in the 1600s. As a beekeeper, he made the first book on the subject. In it, he described that bees operate on a kind of caste system with a single queen laying eggs, setting the stage for the whole hive. Male drones are next with a single purpose and a very short life. Just long enough to transfer the seamen to the queen. Most of the hive are female workers. They collect pollen, protect the hive, and build the nest. The cover of that book illustrates this, and so does this handsome shirt with all kinds of details. Gold thread tying together a spandex lightweight Jersey, something you can wear all day. A delicate hive on the cuffs, and down the left arm is a swarm of bees. The front has details, too. A delicate gold ribbon is hidden behind the buttons, and on the chest is a beautiful illustration. You can find the same illustration on the back.
